About San Lucas I

In short

An architect-designed studio with a calm, minimalist spirit in Salesas, the most polished corner of Chueca, where every line has been drawn with intention.

Living here

Salesas is where Chueca turns elegant, and San Lucas sits right inside it. Calle de Fernando VI and its cafés and galleries are close, Plaza de Chueca is a short walk, and Alonso Martínez metro (lines 4, 5 and 10) is the nearest station. Weekends begin with a stroll to the Mercado de San Antón and end on a terraza with friends. It feels like a barrio you quietly belong to.

The apartment

This third-floor walk-up in a classic Madrid building opens into a studio that architects have renovated completely, with every line drawn and every surface considered. The palette is neutral and minimalist, and the mood is calm from the moment you step in. Above the bed, a black brushstroke painting gives the room its graphic character.

The sleeping area sits at the back of the studio, set apart for privacy, with closet space right beside it. In the living area, the TV can be watched from the sofa or from the breakfast table, so a slow morning and a quiet evening both feel natural.

The kitchen is sleek and modern, with gray cabinetry and black hardware details. A microwave, a spray sink and a dishwasher make it easy to cook at home and keep daily life running smoothly. Air conditioning for the summer, heating in the winter keep this space climatised year round.

What to know before booking

Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 11:00. Arrival or departure between 21:00 and 09:00 can be arranged in advance. There is a €25 supplement, paid in cash on arrival, which goes in full to the person who comes out to meet you.

We welcome you with a complimentary set of essentials. If you would like them replenished during your stay, get in touch and we will arrange it at cost.

Cleaning during your stay is available whenever you want it: €60 for a two-hour visit, or €80 including fresh bed linen and towels.

Pets are welcome in many of our apartments. Tell us which apartment you have in mind and we will confirm. There is an additional cleaning charge of €200.

These are homes in residential buildings, so we ask that evenings stay quiet after 22:00. Having friends over is never a problem. If you are planning something larger, write to us at [email protected]. Depending on the apartment and its building, it is often possible, with an additional deposit.

Your card holds a deposit, between €250 and €1,000 depending on the apartment, and you see the amount before you pay. Nothing is charged and nothing leaves your account. It is released at the end of your stay. Should there ever be damage, we would speak to you first, with the detail in front of us.

Water, electricity and heating are included, up to €150 a month in studios and one-bedroom apartments and up to €250 a month in apartments of two bedrooms or more. If a month goes beyond that, the difference is settled from the deposit at the end of your stay and we show you the readings.

As this is a residential stay rather than a tourist one, we will ask you before arrival about the purpose of your stay and for a document supporting it. We will write to you with exactly what is needed, and someone will be there to sign the agreement with you when you arrive.

Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, with a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are charged the full amount of the booking.

Once your stay has begun, you may shorten it. Give us at least 14 days’ notice before the new departure date and we refund the nights not used from that date.

If an apartment were unavailable for reasons beyond your control, you may choose between an equivalent apartment or a full refund.
