About San Marcos I
In short
A bright, fully renovated studio on the fifth floor in the heart of Chueca, with a breakfast corner in the kitchen and Malasaña's boutiques and the barrio's best restaurants close by.
Living here
Chueca lives late and looks good doing it: polished streets and busy terrazas on one side, Malasaña's independent boutiques on the other, and San Marcos right between them, a short walk from Calle de Hortaleza. Restaurants of every style sit within a few blocks, and Gran Vía and Chueca metro (line 5) connect you to the rest of the city. It is the part of Madrid where staying in and going out feel equally easy.
The apartment
On the fifth floor of a building with an elevator, this 22 m² studio gives every area a purpose. The kitchen leads: the whole room has been redone, with a vitroceramic stovetop, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and a marble-effect backsplash that adds polish behind the cooking. A breakfast area sits within the kitchen, a place for coffee and a slow start before heading out into the barrio.
The sleeping area has a TV, so a film can be watched from bed. Light fills the studio throughout, and air conditioning keeps it comfortable through the summer.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a vanity with storage for everyday things. The whole home is arranged to be easy to come back to after an evening out in Chueca or Malasaña.

Important notice:
The apartment is located on the 5th floor. Please note that the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor, so you will need to climb an additional flight of stairs (approximately 10 steps) to reach the apartment.

What to know before booking
Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 11:00. Arrival or departure between 21:00 and 09:00 can be arranged in advance. There is a €25 supplement, paid in cash on arrival, which goes in full to the person who comes out to meet you.
We welcome you with a complimentary set of essentials. If you would like them replenished during your stay, get in touch and we will arrange it at cost.
Cleaning during your stay is available whenever you want it: €60 for a two-hour visit, or €80 including fresh bed linen and towels.
Pets are welcome in many of our apartments. Tell us which apartment you have in mind and we will confirm. There is an additional cleaning charge of €200.
These are homes in residential buildings, so we ask that evenings stay quiet after 22:00. Having friends over is never a problem. If you are planning something larger, write to us at [email protected]. Depending on the apartment and its building, it is often possible, with an additional deposit.
Your card holds a deposit, between €250 and €1,000 depending on the apartment, and you see the amount before you pay. Nothing is charged and nothing leaves your account. It is released at the end of your stay. Should there ever be damage, we would speak to you first, with the detail in front of us.
Water, electricity and heating are included, up to €150 a month in studios and one-bedroom apartments and up to €250 a month in apartments of two bedrooms or more. If a month goes beyond that, the difference is settled from the deposit at the end of your stay and we show you the readings.
As this is a residential stay rather than a tourist one, we will ask you before arrival about the purpose of your stay and for a document supporting it. We will write to you with exactly what is needed, and someone will be there to sign the agreement with you when you arrive.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, with a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are charged the full amount of the booking.
Once your stay has begun, you may shorten it. Give us at least 14 days’ notice before the new departure date and we refund the nights not used from that date.
If an apartment were unavailable for reasons beyond your control, you may choose between an equivalent apartment or a full refund.
