About Lerida I
In short
An architectural, loft-style one-bedroom on the edge of Tetuán and Cuatro Caminos, laid out over open split levels, with a private screening room.
Living here
Tetuán is a down-to-earth neighborhood right next to Madrid's northern business district. The Castellana, the grand avenue that crosses Madrid, runs along its eastern edge. Calle de Lérida lies on the border with Cuatro Caminos, in a central residential area with supermarkets around the corner. Nearby Calle de Sor Ángela de la Cruz leads directly to the M-30 ring road. Tetuán metro station, on line 1, is a five-minute walk away.
The apartment
Split levels and microcement surfaces give this apartment a distinctly contemporary character. Short flights of stairs connect the levels, so each area feels distinct without walls between them. Large windows bring in natural light throughout the day. In the living area, a long L-shaped sofa faces a flat-screen TV, with room for everyone to stretch out. A separate screening room with a projector is set up for movie nights.
The open-plan kitchen pairs wood cabinetry with a sleek, modern design. The oven, stove and microwave are built in behind the wood paneling. The dishwasher is concealed there too, keeping the lines clean. Because the kitchen faces the living area, whoever is cooking can stay part of the conversation.
The sleeping area is on a mezzanine level, which preserves the sense of space rather than dividing the home into small, enclosed rooms. Generous closets provide plenty of hanging space to keep a full wardrobe out of sight.
The bathroom has a designer finish, with walls lined in handmade zellige tile. A heated towel rail keeps towels warm on cool mornings.

What to know before booking
Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 11:00. Arrival or departure between 21:00 and 09:00 can be arranged in advance. There is a €25 supplement, paid in cash on arrival, which goes in full to the person who comes out to meet you.
We welcome you with a complimentary set of essentials. If you would like them replenished during your stay, get in touch and we will arrange it at cost.
Cleaning during your stay is available whenever you want it: €60 for a two-hour visit, or €80 including fresh bed linen and towels.
Pets are welcome in many of our apartments. Tell us which apartment you have in mind and we will confirm. There is an additional cleaning charge of €200.
These are homes in residential buildings, so we ask that evenings stay quiet after 22:00. Having friends over is never a problem. If you are planning something larger, write to us at [email protected]. Depending on the apartment and its building, it is often possible, with an additional deposit.
Your card holds a deposit, between €250 and €1,000 depending on the apartment, and you see the amount before you pay. Nothing is charged and nothing leaves your account. It is released at the end of your stay. Should there ever be damage, we would speak to you first, with the detail in front of us.
Water, electricity and heating are included, up to €150 a month in studios and one-bedroom apartments and up to €250 a month in apartments of two bedrooms or more. If a month goes beyond that, the difference is settled from the deposit at the end of your stay and we show you the readings.
As this is a residential stay rather than a tourist one, we will ask you before arrival about the purpose of your stay and for a document supporting it. We will write to you with exactly what is needed, and someone will be there to sign the agreement with you when you arrive.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, with a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are charged the full amount of the booking.
Once your stay has begun, you may shorten it. Give us at least 14 days’ notice before the new departure date and we refund the nights not used from that date.
If an apartment were unavailable for reasons beyond your control, you may choose between an equivalent apartment or a full refund.
The neighbourhood
Living in Tetuán
Bravo Murillo hums with grocers, old hardware shops and bars that have poured the same caña for decades. This is Madrid at its most multicultural and unfiltered, cheaper than anywhere central, yet a few metro stops from Chamberí, Nuevos Ministerios and the Cuatro Torres that close every view.
Nearest metro: Tetuán (line 1) and Valdeacederas (line 1).
