Living here

Come home to Teruel and you are in Cuatro Caminos, the working, residential Madrid of long-standing neighbors, neighborhood bars and cafés where the day starts with a coffee at the counter. Bravo Murillo, the barrio's main shopping street, is close, and Cuatro Caminos metro (lines 1, 2 and 6) connects you to the center and beyond. The streets are practical, local and unpretentious, which is exactly their appeal.

The apartment

Start in the kitchen: orange cabinetry, retro cement tile on the floor and a square island with a gas stove, set up for anyone who loves to cook for a crowd. The dining space beside it is ample, so a long lunch or dinner can stretch as long as the conversation does.

From there the apartment opens onto its private terrace, the part of the home that turns an ordinary evening into a gathering. Bright and airy inside, it moves easily between indoor and outdoor living, with parquet floors, minimalist doors and light in every room. It sits on the fourth floor of a building with an elevator.

The two bedrooms are restful and uncluttered, and floor-to-ceiling closets in the hallway store a full wardrobe. The bathroom is tiled in blue, a cool Mediterranean contrast to the warm kitchen. Air conditioning throughout the apartment keeps the summer months comfortable.

What to know before booking

Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 11:00. Arrival or departure between 21:00 and 09:00 can be arranged in advance. There is a €25 supplement, paid in cash on arrival, which goes in full to the person who comes out to meet you.

We welcome you with a complimentary set of essentials. If you would like them replenished during your stay, get in touch and we will arrange it at cost.

Cleaning during your stay is available whenever you want it: €60 for a two-hour visit, or €80 including fresh bed linen and towels.

Pets are welcome in many of our apartments. Tell us which apartment you have in mind and we will confirm. There is an additional cleaning charge of €200.

These are homes in residential buildings, so we ask that evenings stay quiet after 22:00. Having friends over is never a problem. If you are planning something larger, write to us at [email protected]. Depending on the apartment and its building, it is often possible, with an additional deposit.

Your card holds a deposit, between €250 and €1,000 depending on the apartment, and you see the amount before you pay. Nothing is charged and nothing leaves your account. It is released at the end of your stay. Should there ever be damage, we would speak to you first, with the detail in front of us.

Water, electricity and heating are included, up to €150 a month in studios and one-bedroom apartments and up to €250 a month in apartments of two bedrooms or more. If a month goes beyond that, the difference is settled from the deposit at the end of your stay and we show you the readings.

As this is a residential stay rather than a tourist one, we will ask you before arrival about the purpose of your stay and for a document supporting it. We will write to you with exactly what is needed, and someone will be there to sign the agreement with you when you arrive.

Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, with a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are charged the full amount of the booking.

Once your stay has begun, you may shorten it. Give us at least 14 days’ notice before the new departure date and we refund the nights not used from that date.

If an apartment were unavailable for reasons beyond your control, you may choose between an equivalent apartment or a full refund.
